Outreach In Action

The Bend believes in loving people and being the hands and feet of Jesus. This is demonstrated through our Outreach department.

Our outreach focus is local community, throughout the country and across the world. We believe that being the hands and feet of Jesus by serving physical and emotional needs are necessary in showing the love of the Father. Understanding that “Church” is community and our church body stands for showing love in a practical, supportive way by helping to meet the needs of others.

We support local needs in practical ways by serving in a variety of areas. A few of these areas include supporting:

  • Local Foster Care Families
  • Be-Loved (practical service for single parents and widow(er) needs)
  • Next Step for Life (Transitional support program)
  • Pregnancy Crisis Clinic (Local Pregnancy Crisis right to life organization)
  • Homeless Initiative Coalition (Serving the needs of transitional services for the local Homeless population)
  • Keep Putnam County Beautiful (Quarterly trash clean-up to bless the land)

We serve the needs across the country by serving the poverty stricken in Appalachia and sending trained and equipped crisis intervention teams when a disaster occurs that needs more hands and experienced, trained volunteers.

We serve the needs across the world by contributing to churches, missionaries and mission organizations that fulfill the Great Commission. A few of these areas include:

  • Supporting Refugees (examples: Ukrainian crisis needs)
  • Bible Schools (examples: Autumn Harvest in Liberia, MEPI in Peru)
  • Missionaries
